At the 6th international fair in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, which took place in November, Gorenje received the award for the best looking exhibition area. Gorenje joined this international fair for the first time together with Iraqi business partner Zozan co. Tuesday, 23th November 2010, Velenje, Slovenia Gorenje tops 2010 plan for profit in the first nine months At its fourth regular meeting held today, Gorenje Supervisory Board discussed and confirmed the unaudited Gorenje Group Business Report for the first three quarters of this year. In the first nine months, Gorenje Group generated just under EUR 966 million of consolidated sales revenues, which is 11.6 percent more than in the corresponding period last year, and considerably boosted its operating profit (EBIT) which reached EUR 44.4 million.

Hotel Paka, a unit of the Gorenje Gostinstvo company, worked with Gorenje Design Studio to attend the event Eat and Drink Design featuring the central topic of transformation. The event took place last Thursday, October 21st, upon the opening of the Design Month 2010 in Ljubljana. Gorenje participated in Lyon from 11th until 13th September at the trade fair PRO 2010 and from 19th until 20th September at the trade fair EXIAL 2010. Both fairs successfully presented Gorenje brand in freestanding cooling, wet and cooking programme. French were enthusiastic with Retro fridge-freezers and Gorenje Simplicity line.

On Tuesday, April 13th 2010, Petra Majdič visited the Gorenje plant. First, she greeted the shop floor workers; then, she proceeded to the company cafeteria to attend a meeting the junior team of the Velenje ski jumping club, and the organizers of the Gorenje Sports Society who welcomed her in a ceremonial formation. The launch took place in Taipei on April 1st 2010. The two-day gala event was attended by many distributors and media representatives, including the French designer Ora-Ïto.

Friday, 2nd April 2010, Velenje, Slovenia Gorenje’s Own Solar Power Plant At the end of March, the construction of a 200 kW solar power plant was completed at Gorenje. The plant, already connected to Gorenje’s power grid, is divided into four units with 50 kW of output power each. The units are located in Velenje and Šoštanj.

From March 9th to 14th, Nitra, one of Slovakia's oldest and largest cities located the western part of the country, hosted the traditional "Nabytok a Byvanie" (Furniture and Living) Fair attended each year by Gorenje. The consolidated revenue in the amount of the EUR 1.2 billion decreased by app. 11 percent compared with the year 2008. To neutralize the negative impacts of crisis were all activities focused on three objectives: generating free cash flow, strengthening market shares and keeping productive working places, which were achieved.
