Friday, 29th November 2019, Velenje Gorenje improves performance in second half; after this year's loss, profit planned for next year

In the second half of the year, Gorenje Group has already turned the performance trend upwards and wrapped up the third quarter of 2019 with a significantly better result than in the equivalent period of the year before, while fourth-quarter results are estimated to considerably exceed the last year's figures. Although the bottom line at the end of this year will still be negative, we are planning to end the next year with a profit as we improve our efficiency, reshape the company, and boost production and sales.

Tuesday, 19th November 2019, Stara Pazova, Serbia Gorenje TIKI sold to NIBE Industrier AB

Pursuing its strategy of focusing on the core activity of manufacturing and marketing domestic appliances, the Gorenje Group continues to divest its non-core businesses. Today we concluded an agreement on the sale of 100% shares of the company Gorenje TIKI, d. o. o., to NIBE Industrier AB, one of the key players in European electric water heater manufacturing market.

Thursday, 7th November 2019, Velenje One-millionth dishwasher produced in Gorenje, Velenje

This week we have produced in Gorenje dishwasher appliances factory in Velenje one-millionth dishwasher since the beginning of production in this plant. The landmark appliance is of the premium Asko brand.

Tuesday, 29th October 2019, Velenje Hisense to found a company headquartered in Slovenia to manage all European operations

Since the takeover, a number of integration activities have been under way at the Gorenje Group to make its merger with Hisense Group's global organization as seamless as possible. As announced by Hisense upon acquisition, Gorenje and Slovenia are to become the centre of all Hisense Group's European operations. As the integration process continues, Gorenje Group is thus being further reshaped from business and organizational aspect. In the next step, this shall include separating the manufacturing part of the Velenje-based company from the administrative part of the company that will have its seat in Ljubljana.

Saturday, 7th September 2019, Berlin Hisense, Gorenje and Asko for the first time presenting together at IFA 2019 in Berlin

From September 6 to September 11, at the IFA fair, the biggest European fair for kitchen appliances for consumer electronics, three global Hisense Group brands: Hisense, Gorenje and Asko are for the first time presenting their latest achievements together, at the new, bigger booth. Future-focused smart home and ConnectLife platform presentation, including advanced digital solutions and services compatible with both connected and non-connected appliances from the Hisense Group (Hisense, Gorenje, Asko brands), were pointed out by the organizer of IFA. Our booth is included in the official IFA Tour - daily guided tour of the most attractive and interesting achievements, picked out from over 1.800 exhibitors from over 100 countries.

Tuesday, 3th September 2019, Ljubljana Gorenje supports cooperation between students of the University of Ljubljana and the "Asian Harvard"

This summer, Gorenje enabled a unique international experience for the students of urbanism and architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana: nine Slovenian students and their mentors visited the Aiyuan Town in China where they worked with the students of the prestigious Tsinghua University at an international students' competition 2019 UIA-CBC International Colleges and Universities Competitive Construction Workshop. Their pavilion called Lie in Between, set up in the Guoyan Village in China, was awarded second place.

Friday, 26th July 2019, Velenje After a slow start of the year, Gorenje Group makes profit in June

Despite a challenging start to the year, positive effects of generating synergies within the Hisense Group (gradual savings in purchasing, launch of products made at Hisense factories), adjusted marketing and sales policies, and other measures adopted in all areas of our operations have by the end of the first half of 2019 already shown positive results. In April performance started to improve in relation to the equivalent period of the previous year. Comparable sales revenue in the second quarter of 2019 was already 6.6 percent higher than in the second quarter of 2018, while in the first quarter revenue still lagged behind last year's by 3.7 percent. Thus, after months of seeing loss, in June Gorenje Group bounced back to making profit.

Thursday, 30th May 2019, Velenje Golden, silver, and bronze innovation awards for Gorenje

Savinja and Šalek Chamber of Commerce ("Savinjsko-šaleška gospodarska zbornica") held a festive event to celebrate its 40th anniversary. At the event, it also presented for the twentieth time the awards for the best innovations in the region. Gorenje's innovators were happy to receive three awards: Gorenje won gold for its new generation of Gorenje WaveActive washing machines and dryers, and silver for the new generation of Asko dishwashers; our colleagues from Gorenje Orodjarna (toolmaking plant) won a bronze award for their complex progressive tool for sheet metal semi-products.

Friday, 26th April 2019, Ljubljana Divestment process of Gorenje Surovina completed

Consistently with our strategy of focusing on our core activity of manufacturing and marketing of domestic appliances and divestment of select companies from our non-core business area, Gorenje signed in December last year a sale and purchase agreement for the company Gorenje Surovina and its subsidiaries. With fulfilment of all suspensive conditions and transfer of the acquisition price, the sale and purchase process with the company Eko Surovina was successfully completed today.

Thursday, 25th April 2019, Velenje With reorganization, Gorenje is looking to ensure the conditions conducive to long-term growth and development

In early March, Gorenje was transformed from a joint stock company into a limited liability company, in order to simplify its corporate governance and pave the way for more efficient management and decision-making within the Group that will thus be better positioned to respond promptly to the challenges and changes in a demanding business environment, to reap the synergies with Hisense, and to cut its operating expenses. Hence, business transformation will be the priority task in all fields of our operations in the months ahead. Therefore, the company Gorenje d.o.o. started in early April, as a part of a batch of measures for improvement of business efficiency, the procedures for reorganizing the business processes at the level of the entire Group, which also includes new organization and job systematization at the parent company.

Wednesday, 24th April 2019, Qingdao Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia visits Hisense

Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia, Zdravko Počivalšek, together with a Slovenian delegation visited Hisense and took a field visit of Hisense Huangdao production base. They were warmly received by Mr. Yeguo Tang, Vice President of Hisense Group.

Friday, 19th April 2019, Ljubljana Gorenje washing machines among the best in the Slovenian Consumers Association test

In an independent comparative consumer test of washing machines by over 50 different brands, released by the Slovenian Consumers Association (SCA), two Gorenje WaveActive washing machine models ranked among the top ten. The rating "Good" means that they are recommended by the Slovenian Consumers Association as a good buy.

Wednesday, 17th April 2019, Celje Golden award for Gorenje Orodjarna

At the International Industry Fair in Celje, the company Gorenje Orodjarna, a toolmaking plant, won a golden award for its progressive tool for manufacturing highly advanced sheet metal parts. The technologically highly complex tool is entirely a result of in-house knowledge, and it will be used for mass production of parts for their customer until 2025.

Friday, 29th March 2019, Velenje Two Red Dot design awards for Gorenje's induction hob and Asko tumble dryer

Gorenje Group has added to new Red Dots to a series of these awards for superior design. This year, the 40-member international jury presented them to our Simplicity 2.1 induction hob under the Gorenje brand, and a tumble dryer under the Asko brand. Vying for this year's Red Dot awards were no less than 5500 products from 55 countries, competing in three categories. Gorenje Group's design achievements have been among the recipients of these awards for over a decade, which stands witness to the excellence of our design and to the innovativeness of the products marketed under our brands.

Monday, 25th March 2019, Velenje The year 2018 was defined by the search for a strategic partner, integration into the Hisense Group, and Gorenje Group's financial stabilization

Last year was a watershed year for Gorenje, as we got a new 100-percent owner, the Chinese corporation Hisense. Thus, we became a part of a global, financially very stable corporate group, which affords us significant potential for Gorenje's future growth and development, access to new markets, new technologies and procurement sources, and many other synergies. In 2018, we thus invested immense effort into the strategic project, both in the first part of the year until the completion of the takeover, and in the remaining part when we worked with the new strategic owner on the challenging and extensive process of integration with the Hisense group. The very search for a strategic partner and the ensuing integration activities, however, resulted in considerable fluctuation in our downstream and upstream markets.

Wednesday, 20th March 2019, Velenje Gorenje examines possibilities to delist bonds from trading on the organized market

After delisting of shares from the organized market, Gorenje, d. o. o., has started the process of analysing the possibilities for delisting of bonds GV01 and GV02 from the organized market of Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

Monday, 18th March 2019, Velenje In addition to a new plant in Velenje, Hisense is also planning to expand Gorenje's manufacturing operations in Valjevo

Consistently with the development plans for the Gorenje Group, construction of two new factories are planned for the next two years: one in Velenje and one in Valjevo, Serbia. In Velenje, a factory will be built for manufacturing Hisense brand TV sets, while Gorenje Valjevo will expand its production capacity and construct additional manufacturing halls to become a centre for Hisense Group's refrigeration technology in Europe.

Monday, 11th March 2019, Velenje Gorenje transformed to a limited liability company (d. o. o.)

On 11th March 2019, Gorenje received the resolution of the court register, Celje, on the entry of the change in the court register. With this court resolution, the resolutions of the 29th General Assembly of the company, from 7 February 2019, on the transformation from a joint stock company (d. d.) into a limited liability company were entered in the court register.

Tuesday, 12th February 2019, Ljubljana Gorenje's ConnectLife platform co-shapes Future Living

Gorenje is showcasing its ConnectLife platform at the Future Living – an exhibition presenting the achievements of Slovenian smart building and smart home industry, and the forest wood chain. The Future Living exhibition is organized, in cooperation with its partners, by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and it will be open at the Dom gospodarstva in Ljubljana through April 11. It will take the form of an exposition of solutions and products, highlighting innovative achievements and new solutions from Slovenia.

Thursday, 7th February 2019, Velenje After consolidation of ownership, Gorenje to be transformed from a joint stock company (d. d.) to a limited liability company (d. o. o.)

Pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Shareholders Assembly Gorenje, d. d., will be transformed from a joint stock company into a limited liability company. The transformation marks the completion of the takeover process, with the company Hisense as the only remaining shareholder and introduces a simpler governance system without the Supervisory and Management Board.

Thursday, 17th January 2019, Velenje Gorenje's WaveActive washing machine and dryer win a Plus X Award and excel in German consumer tests

In the January issue, the German consumer magazine ETM Testmagazin, specializing in independent product testing, released the test results for the new generation of Gorenje WaveActive washing machines and dryers. In the detailed test and evaluation, both appliances exceeded the score of 90%, and the ETM Testmagazin therefore recommends them to consumers as economical and, owing to the use of new ionization technologies, highly efficient appliances.

Tuesday, 8th January 2019, Las Vegas, USA Gorenje and Hisense are building the smart home of the future in Las Vegas

This year's CES, the world's largest show of consumer electronics and innovative technologies, taking place in Las Vegas, includes for the first time a presentation of the Gorenje Group, appearing there under the auspices of the Hisense Group. Our central new feature that is already a result of Gorenje's successful integration into the Hisense Group, is the new ConnectLife platform that will allow seamless communication between connectible products by all Hisense Group companies.
