In 2020, Hisense Europe group generated just under two billion euros in sales revenue, of which more than 97 percent was in the core business of household appliances. We generated one billion of the mentioned sales revenues in the markets of Western Europe, more than 800 million euros in Eastern Europe and the remaining part in the rest of the world.Production company Gorenje, d. o. o., generated EUR 1.19 billion in sales revenue last year, which is a 42.3 percent increase compared to 2019.

Monday, 24th May 2021, Velenje, Slovenia Hisense Europe Electronics TV factory already with 750 employees and 2.5 million TVs a year

Managing Director of the Hisense Europe Electronics factory, Chao Liu, and the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek, signed an agreement on state subsidies for Hisense's investment in the Velenje television set factory. It is worth almost one million euros, which represents 25 percent of the value of the investment, which is planned for the period until the end of 2023. We launched the Hisense Europe Electronics factory at the beginning of this year, and today it employs more than 750 employees. With the help of the investment, we will increase the production capacity of the factory, in which we will already produce 2.5 million Hisense TV sets for the European market in the first year.

Tuesday, 2nd March 2021, Qingdao, China Hisense Home Appliances plans to take controlling shares in Sanden to jointly develop the automotive air conditioning market

Hisense Home Appliances announced on March 1st that it planned to subscribe for 83,6 million shares of common stock of Sanden, at the total subscription price of almost 167 million EUR, representing approximately 75% of the total voting rights and becoming the controlling shareholder of Sanden. Founded in 1943, Sanden is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and has achieved sales revenue of 1.58 billion EUR in the fiscal year of 2019.

Thursday, 7th January 2021, Velenje In the Hisense Europe Electronic TV set factory additional employments soon after opening

In the Gorenje area in Velenje, the gradual start of TV sets production will begin this week, and regular operation will begin next week. Hisense Europe Electronic factory already has more than 350 employees, and by the end of January the number of employees will have increased to 520. At the same time we are still employing in all Gorenje household appliance factories.
