The Gorenje Group is one of the leading European manufacturers of household appliances, with a history reaching back as far as 66 years. The Gorenje Group has developed its two global brands (Gorenje and the premium brand Asko) as well as six local brands to bring users across 90 countries worldwide technologically advanced, innovative, energy-efficient and beautifully designed household appliances that provide a simple, intuitive user experience and make their lives easier.
The Gorenje Group brings together some 10,600 employees of 42 different nationalities and generates 95% of its revenues in the global market. We have production facilities across Europe, in Slovenia, Serbia and the Czech Republic, as well as development and competence centres in Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
Our main focus is on household products and services, where we can leverage our innovative know-how and extensive experience in the field to provide a comprehensive range of products. Our vision is to become the most design-driven innovator of home appliances in the world. Based on our dedication to design we have earned a status of a challenger and a trendsetter in our industry, confirmed by numerous prestigious international design awards and enhanced by collaborations with renown designers such as Pininfarina, Karim Rashid, Ora-Ϊto, Philippe Starck …
Throughout the decades, we have carefully developed a sales network that will be expanded beyond Europe in the future in line with our strategy, focusing on markets with high growth potential – particularly Australia, the USA, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. We will continue to consolidate our market share in Germany, the Benelux, Scandinavia and other Western-European markets as well as in Eastern and Central Europe.
By 2020, we plan to generate €1.56 billion in revenues while achieving an EBITDA margin of 9% and doubling our sales figures in the highest price segments and overseas. We aim to double the sales of the premium brand ASKO, while the premium segment is planned to grow to 30% of our total revenue by 2020.
We have forged partnerships with a number of renowned manufacturers of household appliances, one of particular importance being our long-term strategic partnership with the Panasonic Group. Our goal is to enhance our long-term competitive position through synergies and to create positive impacts for all stakeholders of the Gorenje Group.
