Congratulations to all the Marketing Teams across Europe for an excellent execution of UEFA EURO 2020
& congratulations to Italy for taking the trophy ;)

The first major international sports event of the last year and a half, UEFA EURO 2020, is behind us! A big »well done« & THANK YOU to all the teams who worked hard for the great exposure of our brands, aiming to build brand awareness, engage with our customers in different ways & accelerate the sales results.

We can surely say that this event has truly united our European Business Units, with execution of Hisense global campaign & Gorenje regional campaign. »Your Home, Your Stadium« became a reality for many of our new and existing consumers, as they immerse themselves into a great viewing experience with our TV’s & have refreshing coolness with our refrigerators. Oh, and did you know that in UK, TV’s even came with a built-in luck ;)

Thanks also to the China HQ Marketing Team for support and execution of parallel activities and campaigns such as »Upgrade Squad« as this even further supported our efforts for exposure. By cooperating with the world's top football teams for the third time, Hisense has become recognizable, trusted, and supported by more and more customers from all over the world. With the integration of marketing and sales activities we can proudly say we won our own trophy!

Although a more detailed evaluation will follow in August, we already have some intermediate insights which indicate that you all did a good job. However, considering different factors of execution, we would like to praise three teams for their Best Marketing Performance in times of UEFA EURO 2020:

1st place: Hisense UK 

Professional execution of creative & locally relevant 360 campaign with good coverage, and exposure before and during the championship. On top, active promotions and multiple hospitality activities related to Wembley. Important engagement of key business partners.

2nd  place: East Europe Region 2 countries Serbia, Montenegro, N. Macedonia, BiH 

Regional exposure of Hisense and Gorenje brand, by utilizing HQ provided campaigns. With limited budget, they managed to cooperate with regional business partner & did strong TV Advertising for Hisense brand. To round up 360 approach, in store branding was done properly, and an opportunity to increase in store brand share was fully utilized. In addition, digital activities & strong PR aimed to raise up Hisense brand recognition in the region. 

3nd  place: ATAG Team 

Attention grabbing campaign with local influencer was loud and consistent. With strong above the line activities, Hisense brand could be seen all over the market (on digital, over radio, on billboards etc.). Great effort into promoting the Hisense brand. 

We believe this activation is a good stepping stone to fully utilize our sponsorship rights & continue our sponsorship strategy as a key brand building activity. FIFA World Cup 2022 is next on the agenda, and we already started conversations with HQ about our possibilities and rights. You will be informed accordingly. 

In the meantime, don’t forget to utilize PSG, Fnatic, EHF Champions League, & other partnerships by VIDAA.
