Slovenian Prime Minister Visited Gorenje

During the visit to Gorenje which took place on 3 March Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor accompanied by Gorenje President and CEO Franjo Bobinac and management board members took a tour of the fridge-freezer plant, the logistic centre Navis and the showroom. 

Afterwards talks followed, in which Mr. Bobinac presented this year’s goals and strategic plan till 2013 of Gorenje that is considered to be the most international Slovenian company and is the biggest Slovenian net exporter. He pointed out that for a development oriented company like Gorenje that contributes 4 percent to Slovenian GDP Slovenian business environment is not competitive enough. Existing government efforts in defying the current crisis were also discussed and Mr. Bobinac greeted the measures regarding the employment that helped Gorenje maintain productive jobs.

The Prime Minister said that the government intended to comprehend expectations of Gorenje and other similar companies and would consider them when shaping government measures for ensuring competitive environment.
