Fresh new colours in the Gorenje Retro Collection

Gorenje’s colourful Retro refrigerators are very popular with design-conscious users and everyone who simply appreciate cutting-edge technology combined with timeless design and high quality. And good news for future aficionados: the Retro fridge freezers might soon be available in fresh new colours.

The Retro collection features fridge freezer models in several colour lines, appealing to different tastes and characters: the Retro Chic line with models in Bordeaux, Silver, Black; the Retro Romantic line in hues of Dark Chocolate, Royal Coffee, and Champagne; and the Retro Funky line with lively hues of Fire Red, Baby Blue and Juicy Orange.

Gorenje is expanding the colour palette in the Retro Collection to make sure even more users can choose their perfect shade of cool. Knowing that the right statement piece can make a world of difference in a household, Gorenje invites consumers to select their favourite shade that will eventually become the next trendsetting colour in the Retro Collection. The four Retro refrigerators in new colours Olive, Copper, Apricot and Apple will be premiered at the IFA 2017, and people’s favourite(s) will later actually be launched in markets worldwide. Visit the Gorenje booth 201 in hall 1.1 at the IFA to pick your favourite and help us choose the coolest colour of the IFA 2017!

Cool inside and out

It’s not just the outside that makes these Gorenje retro charmers immensely cool, but also the inside, as the Gorenje fridge freezers house the most advanced and environmentally friendly technology. Models in the Retro Collection are based on the IonGeneration technology that boasts features inspired by nature to mimic the natural microclimate. Different models come equipped with different features that all ensure that food stays fresh longer, for example the IonAir with MultiFlow 360˚ that emulates the natural process of ionization with equally distributed negatively charged ions that refresh the air, thus creating the ideal environment for fresher food, and the smart AdaptTech technology that recognizes users’ habits and adjusts the temperature to the timing and frequency of opening of fridge doors, making sure constant temperature is maintained and freshness of refrigerated goods remains intact.

Select models in the Retro Collection, showcased at the IFA 2017, will also feature the advanced NoFrost technology that prevents “frostrating” ice build-up on the interior walls of the fridge freezers as well as prevents frozen foods from sticking together in a large clump of ice.

Retro refrigerators also come with one of the largest fruit and vegetable fridge drawers in the market, and the SuperCool quick-cooling function in the fridge and the FastFreeze feature in the freezer preserve most of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients regardless of whether the food is refrigerated or frozen.

Another cool fact: all Retro refrigerators are highly energy-efficient, boasting A++ or A+++ energy efficiency ratings, and very smart, as the away function automatically optimizes refrigerator operation to save energy.
