Gorenje at Grand Designs Live
SmarTable by Gorenje exceeded all expectations
Gorenje’s appearance at this year’s Grand Designs Live caused quite a stir as the SmarTable by Gorenje took pride of place in the ‘House of the Future’ stand. Taking pride of place in at the London Excel, the ‘House of the Future’ which provides an insight into the gadgets that will populate people's homes over the next 20 years.
Showcasing new ideas on homes and gardens based on the Channel 4 series with Kevin McCloud, the Grand Designs Live featured around 500 exhibitors including stands featuring interior decorating, appliances, kitchens and the latest homes technologies. This year the show proved to be the most successful yet with an in excess of 105,000 visitors attending the ten-day event, held at Excel London from 25 April to 4 May.
The Gorenje also featured prominently in two other stands at the show. Kitchen manufacturer William Ball chose the black Gorenje Ora-Ïto oven, hob and hood to show off their new range of kitchen furniture. The Grand Designs Live team also chose two Gorenje under counter fridge-freezers to complement a range of outdoor furniture exhibited in the al fresco area providing Gorenje with an excellent overall presence.
Following the event The Sun, Britain’s largest circulation newspaper, ran a feature on the ‘House of the Future’ including a picture and copy of the Gorenje SmarTable. With a circulation of around 3 million combined with over 100,000 visitors to the show, the Gorenje brand has been exposed to over 3 million people in the UK.
