International agreement signed with Expert International
On January 23, Gorenje Group and Expert International signed an international supply agreement that confirms the intent of the two partners to step up their cooperation in sale of Gorenje appliances through Expert's international network of specialized stores.
Currently Europe's second largest private label in its segment, Expert International Group is a result of nearly 50 years of operations, development, and growth. The association of consumer electronics, IT, telecommunications, and appliance stores headquartered in the Swiss town of Zug today includes 18 European countries and over 3,500 specialized stores. In addition to Europe, they are present in USA and Australia; their total sales amount to around EUR 20 billion.
Gorenje currently works with the Expert Group in most Western European countries. It is theire interest to launch and build up the sale through this retail chain in the Eastern and Southeastern European countries as well – the markets in which Expert has been expanding in the last four years. Marko Mrzel, Management Board member in charge of sales and marketing in Gorenje: »Our sales team at the headquarters and in international markets has been striving for several years to become an international supplier for the Expert Group. Through years of cooperation we have proven that our products are appealing and that Gorenje is a trustworthy supplier.«
Matjaž Geratič, Gorenje managing executive director:
»Today, Gorenje accounts for 2% of total sales of the Expert International Group; it is our goal to increase this share to 5%. We are planning to increase our sales within this international network by 5% per year in the next three years.«
Gorenje is marketing its entire range of home appliances at the Expert stores.
