Gorenje is one of the leading European home appliance manufacturers that continues in the line of its prolific history of 65 years with the production of its technologically perfected, superiorly designed and energy-efficient home appliances. Around 90% of its products are sold under its brand names Gorenje and premium brand names Atag and Asko. As much as 95% of its products are sold abroad, in 90 countries all over the globe. The most important markets are Germany, Russia, the Netherlands, South Eastern and Central Europe, USA and Australia. In addition, the Group generates one-fifth of its sales over the internet. Gorenje Group has its production facilities in Slovenia, Serbia and the Czech Republic and its own research and development competence centres for each product category in Sweden, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Slovenia, with 360 employees in R&D. The entire Group has 10,500 employees and it generated 1.26 billion euro in revenue last year. Following the new Gorenje Group Strategic plan 2016-2020, it aims to increase revenue to 1.56 billion euro and focus on the global growth, with special emphasis on the markets outside Europe where it expects to double its revenue. The most important markets outside Europe will be Australia, USA, Near East and Southeast Asia.
