Dynamic marketplace, new ideas

The architectural inspiration for the stand which was designed by our own Gorenje Design Studio comes from the marketplace – a dynamic place where we all meet, a hub of new ideas, inspiring innovations, and exciting new products. The multimedia show projected on the outer wall of the Gorenje stand installation invites the visitors to enter the exhibition area and see what it brings. This year, Gorenje’s presentation at IFA certainly has something for everyone. By offering a wide array of products in varied styles and different price segments, Gorenje gives users the possibility to express their own individual lifestyles.

New technologies, new design

This year, Gorenje’s showroom will spotlight the new Gorenje ION generation of fridge freezers featuring the unique advanced AdaptCool technology and the IonAir system that keeps food fresh longer, and the award-winning IQcook induction hob in combination with a brand new IQhood prototype.

Gorenje’s IFA offerings also feature the unveiling of the new Gorenje Simplicity Collection and the new Gorenje Classico Collection which are sure to captivate the audiences with their fine select design, quality contemporary materials, and simple controls. And one of the most popular design collections by Gorenje ever – the Gorenje Ora-Ïto Collection – has been extended with new, wider 60 cm fridge freezer models that feature the latest advanced AdaptCool cooling technologies. A very special place will again be reserved for the colour appliances, especially refrigerators, washing machines, and dryers, which are increasingly popular among the consumers. In addition to the existing range of colours, Gorenje is presenting a new retro model in yellow.

The remarkable ION generation of fridge freezers

Gorenje is proud to present the new generation of Gorenje fridge freezers – the ION generation, created in perfect harmony with nature and with your good health foremost in mind. The innovative IonAir technology eliminates up to 95% of microorganisms and – paired with advanced MultiFlow 360° and NoFrost Plus functions – helps create the ideal microclimate for keeping your food fresh and healthy inside the refrigerator. AdaptCool is another advanced technology that helps food keep longer, prevents unwanted heating up of the food, and saves energy by adapting to each individual household.

Mind-blowing next-generation appliances

Following up on the introduction of the revolutionary IQcook induction hob which is the first hob to employ IQ sensor technology for automatic healthy cooking, Gorenje is now introducing a prototype of the intelligent IQhood. The intelligent hood uses integrated sensors to connect to the sensors in the cooking hob, synchronizing its operation with the hob and adjusting it to the ongoing cooking processes. The hood can operate in both automatic and conventional manual modes. This superior kitchen hood boasting cutting-edge technology, touch control and sleek design is seen here as a prototype, but will soon be available to customers the world over.

Talk of new technologies brings the smart HomeCHEF oven which recently made MSN’s selection of mind-blowing next-generation appliances, back into focus. The HomeCHEF oven, one of the most innovative and advanced kitchen appliances from Gorenje, has been further upgraded with some new features. The new models, showcased at the IFA 2013, boast a new, safe and highly energy-efficient UltraCoolDoor (UCD) system, considered among the best in the market. Extremely low exterior door temperatures during cooking – as low as 30 °C – keeps everyone absolutely safe when touching the oven door. The latest HomeCHEF models are also fitted with the new GentleClose soft oven door closing system.

SensoCare fully customised washing and drying

Gorenje’s latest SensoCare washing machines and dryers featuring the innovative user- and eco-friendly SensorIQ technology are also among Gorenje’s offerings proudly showcased at this year’s IFA event. Gorenje washing machines are always well up to the task. Paired with the new generation Gorenje dryers, they offer peerless laundry care. Gorenje’s SensoCARE dryers with a heat pump feature the unique IonTech technology that further smoothes the fibres to eliminate creasing and static charge.

All these appliances also boast high energy efficiency and overall friendliness to both the users and the environment. At IFA, they are sure to thrill the audience with some new daring colours: alongside the classic white also in alluring red, orange, alux, and black.

ASKO brand comes to IFA

For the first time this year, alongside the Gorenje brand, Gorenje Group is showcasing its premium ASKO brand, offering high-performance kitchen, laundry and professional products. ASKO appliances meet the most stringent demands in terms of design, function, durability and environmental awareness. The presentation at the IFA fair includes the new range of ASKO Pro Series™ Kitchen and laundry products, and the ASKO professional range with a new larger professional washing machine and tumble dryer. 

The ASKO Pro Series™ is being launched as a full range of exclusive kitchen and laundry care products. The range flirts with the heritage and tonality of the ASKO brand – Professional and Stainless Steel. In the kitchen range you´ll find large-capacity ovens and exclusive extra-large 200-by-75-cm fridge freezers boasting nearly 400 litres of storage space. In the ASKO Pro Series™ laundry range, we find the world’s first matched extra-large domestic washer and dryer pair with professional construction. The washer boasts an 11-kg dry wash load capacity in its 80-litre drum, and the dryer 10-kg in a 145-litre drum. They are built to be the growing family's loyal friend for many years to come. 

The ASKO professional range includes a new, larger professional washing machine with an 80-litre drum and a loading capacity of 8 kg, and dryers with a drum volume of 145 litres and a loading capacity of 8 kg. With the new ASKO Professional door system featuring the SmartSeal™ solution, loading and unloading the washer becomes incredibly easy. ASKO professional laundry products are used daily to wash mop heads for cleaning companies, towels for local beauty salons and maybe even to dry clothes at camp sites or oil rigs.

The ASKO professional dishwashers boast stainless steel construction and offer models with both industrial crate carriers and flexible standard dishwasher baskets, all in stainless steel. ASKO professional dishwashers are also equipped for connection to an external detergent dosing system for two chemical feeds. ASKO professional dishwashers are ideal for nurseries, retirement homes and schools as well as smaller restaurants or cafés and public institutions or offices.

Fresh and healthy as can be

By keeping our food healthy we’re looking out for our own health as well. Maximum food protection is provided by a three-tier system – IonAir, with MultiFlow 360˚ and NoFrost Plus. Multiflow 360˚ is an intensive ventilation system which blows fresh air through 14 ventilation slots to maintain even, constant temperatures on each individual shelf. NoFrost Plus technology entirely prevents accumulation of frost on the food and ice in the freezer interior. Further, it prevents food in the fridge compartement from drying out by keeping it fresh and humid. This system is featured in premium models, while other models offer IonAir with DynamiCooling and FrostLess technology, another smart feature that eliminates both ice build-up and the need for manual defrosting.

The right temperature – in every corner of your refrigerator

Plenty of other features contribute to maximum food freshness. Every model of the new generation is enhanced with the extraordinary CrispZone pull-out vegetable drawer that maintains optimal humidity and holds up to 36l of fresh fruit, vegetables and more. Frozen food doesn’t get left out in the cold either: professional, extra-fast freezing in the Superior line’s XtremeFreeze drawer preserves vitamins, minerals and nutrients in frozen food by freezing it twice as fast. Other smart features for keeping food fresh include the SuperCool drawer, particularly useful when restocking after a major shopping trip; or the ZeroZone drawer in the refrigerator compartment for storing meat and fish at a critical 0˚ C.

User-friendly design

Alongside concerns for freshness and health, today’s consumers also expect flexible functionality and simple operation. Gorenje has responded with a variety of smart, user-friendly functions, like sliding PullOut shelves that can hold up to 22 kg of food each. They’re also controlled by InverterCompressors, which adjust operation according to temperature and can save up to 50% in energy consumption. Automatic freshness

The hood can operate both in the automatic and in the conventional manual mode. In the automatic mode, the hood connects to the sensor in the IQcook induction hob via a wireless connection to adjust the suction power to the heating power of the induction hob or the intensity of the cooking process. The hood can perceive even a slight change in temperature which will trigger it to switch on. Then, its operating power is stepped up concurrently with the increasing cooking power. When the cooking power is decreased, the suction power of the hood is decreased as well. When the cooking process is completed, the hood is switched off automatically.

Extremely low exterior door temperature during cooking, as low as 30 ̊C, keeps everyone absolutely safe when touching the oven door.

The latest HomeCHEF models are also fitted with the new GentleClose soft oven door closing system. This feature, previously seen in the furniture industry, enables elegant, silent and easy closing of oven doors, requiring just a single gentle push. Nice and elegant.

HomeMADE® cavity design and pyrolytic cleaning system

The HomeCHEF is a multi-system oven featuring the HomeMADE® cavity design with highly efficient heater placement in several levels, and many user functions that make excellent cooking results easy. In addition to the large volume, it also offers a comfortable 46 cm wide cooking surface, which is one of the largest in the market. Despite the generous volume, the oven ranks in the A-20% energy class, which means that it consumes 20% less energy than an A-class oven while the models with the pyrolytic cleaning system rank in the A energy class.

Fully customized washing

Gorenje washing machines offer the option to choose the washing method best suited to your needs. If you tend to use the conventional washing programs (cotton, synthetics, mix, delicate, woollens), there are four new possible modes to choose from: NormalCARE, EcoCARE, TimeCARE, and AllergyCARE. These washing modes provide excellent washing results and perfect laundry care every time. NormalCARE is preset for regular daily use, optimizing the use of power and time; EcoCARE is focused on laundry care with very low amount of water and power, regardless of washing time; TimeCARE will be welcomed by those who live their lives on the fast lane as it steps up the intensity to efficiently wash the laundry in the shortest possible time; and AllergyCARE is the right choice for the allergy prone as it uses more water to thoroughly rinse the laundry.

High load capacity – up to 9 kg

The spacious drum fitted in Gorenje's washing machines of the new generation allows optimum wash for larger amounts of laundry – up to 9 kilograms at a time. Owing to the door with a diameter of 34.5 cm which can be opened to a 180 °C angle, loading and emptying of the drum is very simple even when you are washing blankets, bedding or other large items.  In advanced models, the drum is lit up when opened to allow a better view of the laundry inside.

Many innovative solutions like the efficient program algorithms, OptiDrum washing machine drum, and QuickWet optimum soaking system, combined with the intelligent SensorIQ sensor technology, deliver excellent energy efficiency.

Always optimum use of power, water, and time

Gorenje washing machines feature numerous sensors that continuously monitor the washing progress. Based on collected data, the intelligent SensorIQ technology automatically adjusts the washing process according to the selected program and the type and weight of the laundry. This guarantees optimum results, as well as considerable savings in power, water, and time.

Wellness treatment for your laundry

Innovatively designed drum interior made of stainless steel is completely adjusted to efficient motion of the laundry during the washing process. Large volume allows comfort even when washing larger amounts of laundry. Drum perforation is carefully thought out so that the size, shape, and number of holes provide lower water and power consumption. Wave-shaped 3D ribs gently move the laundry towards the rear part of the drum and then lift it towards the top. Tilted design of the interior door glass also contributes to this process. OptiDrum will make sure your laundry gets the best possible care.

Simple choice of the right program for any type of laundry

Gorenje washing machines offer several washing programs and temperature settings. The most commonly used programs – cotton, synthetics, mix, delicate, and woollens – are found on the right hand side of the dial; on the left side of the perimeter, special programs adjusted to a particular type of laundry are offered. The innovative UltraWHITE program, for instance, is intended for care of white delicate laundry such as synthetics, silk, nylon, and lace, which, due to the specific character of the fabric, should never be washed at high temperatures. The laundry will receive excellent care at a temperature of no more than 30°C, owing to more intensive tumbling rhythm and more water. In addition to the revolutionary UltraWHITE program, the washing machine offers PerfectBlack, BioWash, NightWash, QuickWash, and two user-defined programs MyFavourite that are easily customizable by the user.

Assistance in dealing with the most stubborn stains

It may often be the case that inappropriate washing method will additionally work a stain into the fabric, reducing the possibility to remove it in subsequent washes. Gorenje's high-end models offer a special StainExpert function for effective removal of the most common stubborn stains. Choose the most appropriate among the four offered groups of stains to make sure the laundry is washed effectively. The four groups include fruit – efficient for oranges, strawberries, bananas, tomato sauce, fruit mashes etc.; coffee – fights stains from tea, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, yoghurt, pasta, lipstick etc.; wine – cleans stains of red wine, dark fruit juices, blueberries, red beet etc.; and organic – in case of stains of fat, oil, butter, eggs, blood, or grass.

Superior component quality for a longer useful life

The heavy-duty DuraHeat heater is coated with a protection layer of nickel which makes the surface very smooth and reduces accumulation of limescale. Compared to conventional solutions, the DuraHeat will last longer and make washing machine operation more efficient. This reasserts the quality of the machine and prolongs its useful life.

Efficient and environmentally friendly motor

Generation of washing machines offering spinning rates of 1,600 rpm and accommodating 9 kilogram loads features a highly efficient electronically controlled PowerDrive motor which is, compared to the universal electric motor, more reliable and very quiet. Minimum use of power and handling larger loads more easily will translate into longer useful life. The motor is very efficient as it reaches maximum power very fast.

Sophistication and innovation in design of the new washing machines, paired with Gorenje new dryers, caught the scrutinizing eye of the eminent international jury for the red dot design award. Thus, Gorenje's new washing machines, designed by Gorenje's in-house Gorenje Design Studio, joined the line-up of products with the best design of the year.
 

SensoCARE - Ultimate sense for your laundry

Gorenje’s dryers with SensoCARE technology allows selecting the most convenient drying method, offering a choice between the regular NormalCARE which includes optimized drying programs, and the temperature-adjusted GentleCARE drying mode, which allows even friendlier laundry care while helping preserve your garments. A new synergy of technologies provides for superior laundry softness: a bi-directional TwinAir air blowing system dries clothes evenly throughout the drying cycle; IonTech straightens the fibres by ionising the air, making the laundry even softer; and the SteamTech steam drying technology fluffs laundry while smoothing out creases and wrinkles. Heat pump and IonTech ionic technology

The new generation of Gorenje tumble dryers come in various models, from vented to condenser tumble dryers. The condenser heat pump tumble dryer is distinguished by its innovative technology and classified as energy class A-60% on account of its low energy consumption – the integrated heat pump allows it to use 60% less energy than a standard A-rated dryer. Another special feature is the unique IonTech technology or air ioniser, which further softens and cares for laundry by straightening the fibres and removing unpleasant odours such as tobacco smoke and kitchen odours.

A heat pump condenser dryer dries clothes at lower temperatures than standard models, taking even better care of your clothes. This is further facilitated by the unique TwinAir blowing system that introduces warm dry air into the drum through two air vents as the drum spins in both directions. Drying is more efficient, as wash loads are evenly distributed in the drum throughout the drying process, keeping the garments from getting tangled up and twisted. It’s the only household appliance to employ both the heating and cooling effects of the heat pump for its functioning.

SteamTech ironing perfection

Innovative SteamTech laundry care technology employs steam to straighten every crease and wrinkle. Ironing cotton and mixed-fabric laundry is now far easier – even not necessary at all. A remarkable independent steam drying program for shirts will particularly please those with a strong dislike for ironing; and the additional refreshment program is perfect for clothes that have recently been worn but are not ready for washing yet; or for clothes that have been in the closet for a while. It will remove any unpleasant odours and make them soft, without unnecessary washing.

High load capacity - up to 9 kg

The latest generation of Gorenje dryers, with one of the largest drums on the market (120 l) allows for wash-loads of up to 9 kg while at the same time providing optimal care and efficient drying of larger items such as bed sheets. Of course you don't always have to dry that much laundry, which makes the SmallLoad function all the more welcome, as it provides for quick drying of individual delicate items without having to wait for new laundry to pile up.

The new freestanding fridge freezers of the Gorenje Ora-Ïto Collection, dressed in white or black opal glass in combination with thoughtfully designed vertical aluminium handle in stainless steel, bring a touch of trendy urban architecture of glass and metal to your home. The ASKO Pro Series ™ kitchen range is a completely new series of robust and high-performance stainless steel kitchen products for anyone who loves cooking. This exclusive kitchen range includes 45 and 60 cm ovens with large capacity and a specially designed cavity for effective and even heat distribution. A 185 cm high combined fridge freezer is also presented with a converter that allows setting the temperature in the freezer department from -8 °C to +3 °C. An exclusive and extra-large alternative is the 200 cm high and 75 cm wide fridge freezer with drawers for convenient storage and a total storage space of nearly 400 litres.

Going further through the Pro Series ™ range we find gas hobs with the efficient Volcano wok burners and induction hobs with up to three flexible cooking zones (Adaptive Zones™) which can expand as necessary to fit the cookware. We recommend installing one of our Pro Series™ cooker hoods above the hob. ASKO Pro Series™ cooker hoods are strong, silent and will create a good first impression in your kitchen. With AirLogic™ technology, fume removal capacity is top-of-the-line. After dinner, the dishes can be washed in an ASKO Pro Series ™ dishwasher that offers the largest loading capacity in the market with four flexible baskets. ASKO Pro Series™ Laundry, consisting of a large washer and dryer, is also introduced at the fair. They are actually the world´s first matching pair of extra-large domestic washer and dryer with professional construction. The washer has a capacity of 11 kg of dry wash load in its 80 litre drum, while the dryer can handle 10 kg with a drum volume of 145 litres. With the ASKO Pro Series™ you’ll have all the benefits of a big washer and dryer with professional construction and installation measurements that do not require you to rebuild your laundry room. They are built to be the growing family's loyal friend through many years and are able to handle large loads as well as loads that you do not normally wash and dry in standard appliances, like pillows, large blankets, carpets, duvets and duvet covers.

ASKO Professional products

At IFA, ASKO is presenting a new larger professional washing machine with an 80 litre drum and a loading capacity of 8 kg. Loading and unloading is a central part of the usage of a professional washer and with our new professional door system it’s easier than ever. The sturdy ergonomic handle is designed to last the lifetime of the machine and the door opens at a 180° angle, making it easy to keep the laundry basket close to the machine. The SmartSeal™ solution with no rubber bellows makes loading and unloading even easier, and with our new smart door lock you re-use the energy from opening the door for closing it, thus reducing the closing energy needed by 70 % compared to previous models.

The new professional ASKO tumble dryer has a drum volume of 145 litres and a loading capacity of 8 kg. They are available in vented and heat pump versions, both suitable for stacking on top of the professional washer. The heat pump version has an automatic lint filter cleaning system that simplifies daily use and gives the dryer a longer lifetime as well as lower energy consumption. Our professional laundry products are used daily to wash mop heads for cleaning companies, towels for local beauty salons and maybe even to dry clothes at camp sites or oil rigs.

You can count on the durable stainless steel construction of our professional dishwashers. They have low energy and water consumption and also meet all relevant hygiene requirements where hygiene demands are set high. The new professional dishwashers come in models with both industrial crate carriers and flexible standard dishwasher baskets. The need for efficiency is always high in our workplaces and that is why we have fitted our professional dishwashers with 6 kW elements and quick wash programs as short as 5 minutes. Our professional dishwashers also have circulation pumps that can vary the pump pressure which, for example, is good for restaurants that need a high water pressure to get large beer glasses clean and low water pressure for the wine glasses so they don´t fall over and break. All our professional dishwashers are also prepared for connection to an external detergent dosing system for two chemicals – detergent and rinse aid. This makes it possible to use stronger chemicals which in turn makes the program times even shorter.
